Romanian Countryside Houses

Walking on the small and muddy countryside roads of Romania, surrounded by old trees and green healthy grass, one can not be impressed by the small romanian houses, mostly made of one or two rooms, humble, modest, but so impressive and mistical.

You have to walk into one to capture the romanian peasant's way of living and realise that the place is softly whispering to stories of hundreds of years of tradition. Horse drawn carts loaded with hay, corn or fruit occasionaly pass you by, people kindly greeting you with smiles on their sun-burned faces.

Here is a large part of the traditional romanian houses, and the regions where they can be found. You can always find all of them at The Romanian Peasant's Museum in Bucharest, or similar other museums like the ones in Sibiu, Suceava, Sighetu Marmatiei, Bran and many more.
